Players take turns to place their atoms on the board. Causing explosions and chain reactions which convert enemy atoms to your own colour.
The object of the game is to overwhelm the board. The simple rules of the game give rise to complex and unpredictable reactions which keep you coming back for more. |
I was first introduced to the concept of Atoms via a freeware program by Tom Kuhn that came on the coverdisk of an Amiga Format issue 64. It was human players only, 2 to 4 players. And it was some of the best fun I ever had with my friends and a computer. (except perhaps Gravity Force 2) |
I suspect that the concept is even older than that very polished version. The only atoms clone I could find for PalmOS was human two player only and was pretty much abandoned so I began writing my own version |

Version 0.9.0 now includes

Features that are still missing include :

Hopefully all these features will be completed before febuary 2005, once that's all added I would say that it'll be classed as version 1.0 and then only bugs will be fixed. |
